On June 1, 2016 took place the last stage of the International Contest of Children Drawings « Draw me Peace » at the IART gallery in Tbilisi, in the presence of representatives of several embassies, of the Ministry of Education, of the Ministry of youth and sports, of Tbilisi city hall and of the press.
On this occasion, prizes were awarded to the seven Georgian winners, who were part of the international selection, and the 50 best drawings of the international competition, and the top 50 drawings selected in Georgia were exhibited.
Among the 50 finalists from around the world selected by the international jury in France, Georgia ranked third, as did France .
The 7 Georgian winners, selected by the international jury, were praised and rewarded with a diploma and a medal.
Each of the 50 Georgian finalists received a certificate and a beautiful map of Georgia painted by Yuriy Kendelaki. The artist gave it to the children himself.
All the children received their awards from the hands of painter Levan Mosiashvili and gallerist Ika Bokuchava.
Pictures were shown of little Saskia Buhr (the lucky winner of the trip to Paris) at the Senate, in Paris, at the ceremony that took place on 11 May.
A catalog containing drawings of the 50 international winners was given to each of the 10 schools in Georgia who took part in the contest.
Thank you letters were given to the partners and sponsors of the event.
The evening ended with a beautiful cake bearing the logo of Club de Chance being handed out to the children, and a cocktail for the adults.
